How it works

What is Order Assignment?

Order Assignment helps groups of people share a shopping list, split who buys what, and track who owes whom — all without a spreadsheet.

Step by step

  1. Create or join a group
    Start a group for your household, team, or event. Invite others by sharing the invite code or link, or make the group public so anyone can find and join it.
  2. Create a task
    A task is a shopping run or order — give it a title and optionally some notes. Anyone in the group can see all tasks.
  3. Add items
    Add items to the task with a name and price. Items can be assigned to specific group members, or left unassigned for someone to claim later.
  4. Mark as purchased
    Once a buyer has purchased an item, they mark it purchased. The task publisher can see what's done at a glance.
  5. Settle up
    The Balances section shows who owes the publisher how much. Both sides confirm once the money has been handed over — then the debt is cleared.
